A pale oval interrupts a dense, tilted field of multicolored lines. The most concentrated color gathers around its edge, giving the center a pronounced stillness by contrast.
Exactly 1,000 straight lines create the surrounding structure. Eclipse borrows its title from the meeting of an obscured center and a visible perimeter. It is an abstract response to that contrast, rather than a diagram of a celestial event.
